i just

spent the past hour, browsing through the website imagekind.com where artists can post their own art for you and me to purchase and love.

there is nothing better than finding talented artists whose work you would like to see up on your walls. today i found . . .

paola zakimi - i adore the innocent mystery of these prints.

shira sela - how magnificent is the detail in that tree? kinda anime inspired and i love it.
mario zucca - the music lover in me just could not resist.
believe you me, that i will be checking this site regularly for new finds.

facelift for fall.

no we are not talking botox - don't get afraid.

i came upon this little idea that i think is just the genius that i needed for our little kitchen. revamp for every holiday, switch it up with holly berries or a string of paper twinkle lights for christmas that is around the corner :)

am i right, or i am right - this is cool.

one of each.

could i wake up to that view each morning - yes please. could i lounge on those couches for hours without the tv on - oh ya. could i whip up a mean omelet in that mod kitchen - oh yes please.

i love the feeling

of being enveloped by space; by bright, open, airy space.

probably why this design appeals to me so much.

childhood dreams.

growing up in inner-city portland didnt lend itself well to playing outside, ever. in turn my imagination would run wild with all of the magical things that i could do outside. i always dreamt of living in a magical tree-house where i could escape from reality in the rain and where i could camp out under the summer stars.

i think that this little tree house room would have worked just fine tho {smile}.

old world meets new world.

as you may well know, my interior design tastes tend to lean towards the modern end of the spectrum. however, i cannot neglect to recognize the beauty and intricacy of old world, victorian design. hence, you can imagine my excitement when i discovered this home.

observe. and enjoy.

sweet spring desires.

the spring sunshine has brought out my passion for crafty projects and ideas.

just reuse some fancy old hooks, posh wrapping paper and a small scrap of wood. vioa-la, instant chic coat rack.

couch coolness.

simple, yet oh so retro and rad.

just imagine the perfect fabric on those throw pillows to match your family room decor. are you imagining? 'cause i am loving.

noted.

if you havent noticed - i love kitchens.

i love our little kitchen with a mini stove, yellow counter tops and linoleum floors. i love ashley's white kitchen with the big window looking out to their backyard. and i really love this cool blue kitchen by david collins that i found here.

is that a full marble counter top? i think it just might be.

4.21.2009

bright light.

i have a huge crush on big windows.

our little basement pad, although cooler during the summers, does not let much light in. oh how i love bright natural light. and one day, one day we will feel the warmth of that bright light on our faces during the summer while sitting in our kitchen sipping ice cold lemonade.

exposed.

the fad i am fancying right about now is exposed concrete.

exhibit a:*how rad? am i right.

love me some -

- weekend.

i also love me some yellow accents. here are a few little treasures i have been storing up all week.

*i really dig the yellow accents in the wallpaper set off by that incredible yellow chair you get a peek of.

*do you heart this yellow rug as much as me? ooo i love it.

*all these yellow accents just scream spring make-over.

maybe after the spring cleaning this weekend i will me some yellow accents to brighten up our little basement pad.
