hitch to the hike.

last saturday the husband and myself climbed up to stewart falls.

lesson #1. wear pants so that the flies dont follow you the whole time

lesson #2. work-out more often as to build up endurance and look less weak

friday night lights

kinda wish there was a ferris wheel around town to ride on this weekend. spring weather really lends itself to carnival rides.

do ya got any rockin plans this weekend?

my plan: be outside. as much as humanly possible.

5.14.2009

enter: cold

sure its spring, but who says we cant take a look at this absolutely amazing ice hotel in sweden?

apparently this place open up every winter {maybe the mr and myself could pencil in a trip to sweden next winter to stay a few nights in the ice cave}.

belated hump day quote.

A man was in his front yard mowing grass when his attractive blonde neighbor came out of the house and went straight to the mailbox. She opened it then slammed it shut and stormed back into the house. A little later she came out of her house again, went to the mailbox and again opened it, and slammed it shut again. Angrily, back into the house she went.

As the man was getting ready to edge the lawn, she came out again, marched to the mailbox, opened it and then slammed it closed harder than ever.

Puzzled by her actions the man asked her, “Is something wrong?”

To which she replied, “There certainly is! My stupid computer keeps saying, 'You’ve got mail!'"

* i am aware this is a knee slapper, but i just could not help myself.

rockie weekend

the trip to denver was eventful.

days were spent at the convention center with a few quality clients and "swag" hunters.
friday night at coors feild, watching the rockies with the boss man.
saturday night at the denver diner with the best friend.
home again home again. its official, trips just arent as much fun with out the mr.

long weekend.

i am headed to denver this weekend for {drumroll please} a business conference.

long weekend ahead of me. wish me luck. and may you all have a joyous weekend full of adventure.

so long for now.

xoxox, kayti*picture from our honeymoon at cannon beach, oregon.

face it.

much fun could be had with this 'face tape' you ask? oh the possibilities.

hump day quote.

Michael Scott: "Guess what? I have flaws. What are they? Oh I donno, I sing in the shower? Sometimes I spend too much time volunteering. Occasionally I'll hit somebody with my car. So sue me-- no, don't sue me. That is opposite the point I'm trying to make."

sweet spring desires.

the spring sunshine has brought out my passion for crafty projects and ideas.

just reuse some fancy old hooks, posh wrapping paper and a small scrap of wood. vioa-la, instant chic coat rack.

5.05.2009

save for later.

we are not having a baby. not for awhile.

that doesnt mean that i cannot store away rad projects, like this one, to use for my little ones.

red fish, blue fish

white fish, goldfish. i love every little thing about this swim suit.

happy -

- cinco de mayo!

i am so happy that i found picture of the portland waterfront on this special day. good memories of the fam walking the waterfront playing carnival games, winning goldfish, eating fresh tamales and listening to fantastic music. classic late nights spent with friends riding the ferris wheel over and over and over again, eating fried ice cream and making a complete ruckus.

the trek.

husband and i took the trek of our lives last night. our own little adventure around provo utah and beyond. in jeans, hoodies and ballet flats.

imagine sweaty hands, wind blown hair, itchy legs and really good conversation.

nothing's going to change my world

could be that i was raised by hippies. could also be that i am a musician. could be the sunny days and warm nights or the recent political situation of our world, but i have been singing beatles songs in my head constantly.

"sounds of laughter shades of life
are ringing through my open ears
exciting and inviting me
limitless undying love which
shines around me like a million suns
it calls me on and on across the universe

jai guru deva om
nothing's gonna change my world"
peace. love. harmony baby.

*jai guru deva om = thanks to the divine teacher
