little miss sunshine

weather. entirely sunny with a %100 chance of smiles and laughter. the newest update is that the sun has officially been bright and warm four days in a row now. the snow is melting, slowly but surely and i am able to wear open-toed shoes without feeling like an idiot. aaron and i even threw a baseball around the other afternoon at a park and it feels like spring is coming sooner than anyone expected.

life has been really great recently! the love life is constantly progressing as aaron and i learn more about each other and ourselves everyday. i have so much to be thankful for with him. all of his support and encouragement as well as him always knowing what to say at just the right time have cleared up any doubts that i could ever have about him. i am confident in my happiness with him and no matter what we are doing i enjoy just being in his presence.

all in all i am most happy about the sunshine. bless utah

a few of my favorite things

My newest passion is cooking! Since leaving home, I have not had much access to great home-cooked meals. Thus, I have taken it upon myself to start collecting and compiling recipes. It has been so fun reading cookbooks in the store and calling my mom to find my ole favorites, but there is a link that I found where you can share and take recipes and I am super excited! Visit extremedinnermakeover.blogspot.com to add your own family favorite or browse others, it is a great site!

all you need is love

Aaron's sister Meredith is a talented photographer and recently entered in a contest Blu Domain was holding. The theme was 'love' and Aaron and I were privilaged enough to be her models! Obviously the long trek in the snow up to the location was totally worth it because this photo that she submitted, WON! Out of 1,500 photos Meredith's picture was by far the best and her win is quite an honor. She will be flown out to Las Vegas to attend a photography convention all costs on Blu Domain, not to mention the bragging rights;) I am so glad that we were able to be apart of this photo not to mention the fun memory and extremly beautiful photos that Aaron and I now have. Just in time for Valentines Day, Aaron printed and framed an 8x10 copy of this same photo to put up in my room, along with a few others of us that turned out absolutely amazing! By far the best Valentines gift I have ever recieved. Thank you so much Mere!CHECK HER OUT, she is extremely talented! MEREPHOTOGRAPHY.BLOGSPOT.COM

valentines day

the ever so infamous valentines day. this time has really gathered me in reflection however. this last monday at family home evening we had a lesson on love, obviously, and it really struck a chord with me. it was mentioned that the love that really matters, the love of Christ, is ever prevelant in our lives. why is it that like christmas this one day in the year reminds us to turn to the ones we love and reach out a special effort to let them know. my realized goal is, thus, to constantly be reminding those i love how much they mean to me. do not let us leave the feeling of valentines day in the trash with the chocolate wrappers and cards, but let us always remember that "now abideth faith, hope and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."(1Cor 13:13)
speaking of love . . . Aaron, my incredible beau, woke me up this morning with roses, french toast and gifts before work! what more could a girl ask for, really? i am the luckiest girl alive, no joke. true love is kissing me with morning breath and pillow hair and then running out in the freezing cold to bury my car out of six inches of snow. Did I mention he makes me the happiest I have ever been? happy valentines day

bliss

Life hands us our fair share of trials, but I am so grateful to say that those troubles have been emensley overshadowed by the laughter, love and general blessings in my life.

I am living in Provo, Utah currently and thoroughly enjoying every moment of it. It is so refeshing to me to finally experience real seasons and see sunshine at least once a day. That is one thing I really don't miss about Oregon; the rain. The snow, however, has been really fun! The northwest in me gets excited everytime it snows, but the recent Utah girl dreads driving in it and slipping on it in the parking lot. I am still waiting for the day when the joy of a recent snowfall will disapate, but as far as now I enjoy each morning that I wake up to a new blanket of snow.

I have a new job and thus far I am really enjoying it:) My most recent job really drained me of work, but I am glad to say that I am in a much more positive enviroment and feel confident that I will be successful where I am at. The company is called Agemni and was recently developed as a software that companies can use to run thier businesses. On my end of things I regulate and train the new customers and generally make sure they are happy and at an understanding with the system. I am currently working through training, but hope to be picking things up fast and attempting to absorb quickly everything.

The ward I live in right now has really been an answer to my prayers on more than one level. Our Bishop is a really amazing guy and the rest of our leadership including our High Counselor are really great men. I have even found a great man of my own and did not have to look any further than my own ward! Aaron is my home teacher and after almost five months of dating has really become my best friend.

I am so happy with life right now and like I said the bumps in the road seem so much lighter with the blessings that I have been bestowed.
