that all the models on this site look like they are twelve.

6.25.2009

picture perfect.

this picture makes me smile.

possibly because i loved the movie 'UP' with ever fiber of my being. and possibly because i can just imagine the stubborn little family that lives here surrounded by sky rise. te he.

sac meets cap.

lets face it, the 'fanny pack' will never be back in style.

however; the 'cap sac' i am thoroughly digging. sun our of your eyes? check. place for your yo-yo and a stick of gum? check and check.

get'em while they are hot.

happily ever after.

i love how refreshing these images are.

as a little girl i dreamed of the happily ever after in the fairy tales, but to be really honest i am so happy that my happily ever after doesn't include seven old men, talking mice, dancing pumpkins, cursed needles, losing my voice or any form of wicked step-mother and potions.

ahh, real life.

hallelujah and amen.

as ashley said best, 'here is to spring cleaning your blog list and google reader!'

coming soon.

pictures from lake powell.

including the thunder storm and the magical waterfalls that followed - get excited people.

i am

thoroughly looking forward to the week that i will be spending with the in-laws in lake powell.

t-minus three days until lift off.
here is the plan.
  • go exploring with the mr. on the jet ski
  • come back with intense tan lines
  • play games at night with the best family a girl could ask for
  • get some rockin shots of the mr. wakeboarding like a pro
  • find lizards with the nephews on the beach
  • catch up on the fashion mags and a good book
  • watch the stars while falling asleep
ahhh - bliss.

old world meets new world.

as you may well know, my interior design tastes tend to lean towards the modern end of the spectrum. however, i cannot neglect to recognize the beauty and intricacy of old world, victorian design. hence, you can imagine my excitement when i discovered this home.

observe. and enjoy.

6.05.2009

bee to the burts.

burts bees might just be giving away 1,000 sticks of their lip balm daily for the month of june. {and by 'might' i mean, 'heck yes they are!'}

happy, happy

national doughnut day!

go get your self a fatty, sprinkled, doughy delightful treat and say 'cheers' to doughnuts.

6.04.2009

i refuse

to leave my oregon roots behind me.

my drivers license may read utah, but i will always be an oregonian in my heart and mind. {and yes that is how you say it: 'oh-re-go-nee-an'}

vicious cycle.

i feel like i was just catching up to everyone around me by getting married.

now everyone has babes.

* do you ever feel like you will never catch up? some times i do.

5.24.2009

hitch to the hike.

last saturday the husband and myself climbed up to stewart falls.

lesson #1. wear pants so that the flies dont follow you the whole time

lesson #2. work-out more often as to build up endurance and look less weak

5.20.2009

i just might -

- steal her style.

5.15.2009

friday night lights

kinda wish there was a ferris wheel around town to ride on this weekend. spring weather really lends itself to carnival rides.

do ya got any rockin plans this weekend?

my plan: be outside. as much as humanly possible.

5.14.2009

enter: cold

sure its spring, but who says we cant take a look at this absolutely amazing ice hotel in sweden?

apparently this place open up every winter {maybe the mr and myself could pencil in a trip to sweden next winter to stay a few nights in the ice cave}.

belated hump day quote.

A man was in his front yard mowing grass when his attractive blonde neighbor came out of the house and went straight to the mailbox. She opened it then slammed it shut and stormed back into the house. A little later she came out of her house again, went to the mailbox and again opened it, and slammed it shut again. Angrily, back into the house she went.

As the man was getting ready to edge the lawn, she came out again, marched to the mailbox, opened it and then slammed it closed harder than ever.

Puzzled by her actions the man asked her, “Is something wrong?”

To which she replied, “There certainly is! My stupid computer keeps saying, 'You’ve got mail!'"

* i am aware this is a knee slapper, but i just could not help myself.

5.12.2009

rockie weekend

the trip to denver was eventful.

days were spent at the convention center with a few quality clients and "swag" hunters.
friday night at coors feild, watching the rockies with the boss man.
saturday night at the denver diner with the best friend.
home again home again. its official, trips just arent as much fun with out the mr.

5.07.2009

long weekend.

i am headed to denver this weekend for {drumroll please} a business conference.

long weekend ahead of me. wish me luck. and may you all have a joyous weekend full of adventure.

so long for now.

xoxox, kayti*picture from our honeymoon at cannon beach, oregon.

face it.

much fun could be had with this 'face tape' you ask? oh the possibilities.

5.06.2009

hump day quote.

Michael Scott: "Guess what? I have flaws. What are they? Oh I donno, I sing in the shower? Sometimes I spend too much time volunteering. Occasionally I'll hit somebody with my car. So sue me-- no, don't sue me. That is opposite the point I'm trying to make."

sweet spring desires.

the spring sunshine has brought out my passion for crafty projects and ideas.

just reuse some fancy old hooks, posh wrapping paper and a small scrap of wood. vioa-la, instant chic coat rack.

5.05.2009

save for later.

we are not having a baby. not for awhile.

that doesnt mean that i cannot store away rad projects, like this one, to use for my little ones.

red fish, blue fish

white fish, goldfish. i love every little thing about this swim suit.

happy -

- cinco de mayo!

i am so happy that i found picture of the portland waterfront on this special day. good memories of the fam walking the waterfront playing carnival games, winning goldfish, eating fresh tamales and listening to fantastic music. classic late nights spent with friends riding the ferris wheel over and over and over again, eating fried ice cream and making a complete ruckus.

the trek.

husband and i took the trek of our lives last night. our own little adventure around provo utah and beyond. in jeans, hoodies and ballet flats.

imagine sweaty hands, wind blown hair, itchy legs and really good conversation.

5.04.2009

nothing's going to change my world

could be that i was raised by hippies. could also be that i am a musician. could be the sunny days and warm nights or the recent political situation of our world, but i have been singing beatles songs in my head constantly.

"sounds of laughter shades of life
are ringing through my open ears
exciting and inviting me
limitless undying love which
shines around me like a million suns
it calls me on and on across the universe

jai guru deva om
nothing's gonna change my world"
peace. love. harmony baby.

*jai guru deva om = thanks to the divine teacher
